Worktops
Stone, ceramic, and composite — specified as a plane you will live on, not a sample you will forget.
A worktop is the most used surface in the house. NeuralCore specifies marble, quartzite, sintered ceramic, and engineered composite according to how the kitchen will actually be lived in — heat, acid, guests, and the honesty of a knife.
Thickness, edge, and overhang are architectural decisions. A waterfall end is not decoration; it is a joint that must be book-matched, supported, and lit. We draw the worktop with the carcass, the stool, and the cooktop as one assembly.
What we specify
- Natural marble and quartzite, selected in the slab yard
- Sintered stone for heat and stain where the architecture still wants veining
- Quiet composite for working islands that will see daily prep
- Edge profiles from a 10 mm knife-edge to a full waterfall
- Integrated drainers, recessed tracks, and flush cooktops
How we work
Clients visit slabs with us, or we send a shortlist photographed in north light. No worktop is confirmed from a four-inch sample. The kitchen is too important for that kind of optimism.
The kitchen, considered.
