Wood
Oak, walnut, and the grain that makes a kitchen feel inevitable in the hand.
Wood is not a rustic accent. In a NeuralCore kitchen it is structure, furniture, and light. We use white oak, smoked oak, walnut, and selected European veneers — vertical grain for walls, horizontal grain for islands that want to feel like a table.
Finish is oil or a very quiet lacquer. We do not plasticise timber. We do specify how it will age in California sun, how it meets stone, and how it is repaired in ten years. A kitchen in wood is a long relationship.
Applications
- Floor-to-ceiling oak panelling as architecture
- Timber islands with stone tops
- Open shelves with the same thickness as the architecture
- Interior of drawers and pantries in a lighter timber
- Matching dining tables specified with the kitchen, not after it
The kitchen, considered.
